The Social Media Officer’s role is to be responsible for the planning and creation of social media weekly campaigns and content for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest.
They will liaise closely with internal stakeholders to build out the plans and will create and publish seamless day to day content and weekly campaigns in an innovative and social-first way that reflects our brand’s unique personality
What will you do?

• Execute Lidl GB’s social media content strategy alongside the Senior Social Media Consultant and social media agency
• Responsible for the social media weekly campaign and content plan for Lidl GB and campaign/content delivery using tools like Social Studio to manage and publish on multiple social media channels
• Execute and at times, lead the creation of weekly campaigns and social media content creation in-house in line with our social media strategy and playbooks (eg. animation, copywriting, video filming and video editing) using the Adobe CC Suite.
• Assist Senior Social Media Consultant in developing seasonal campaigns briefs for external agencies
• Collaborate with other departments to manage and facilitate social media weekly campaigns and content
• Provide ongoing moderation alongside PR, escalating and resolving issues where necessary
• Assist in managing budgets and assisting the Senior Social Media Consultant with invoicing processes
• Provide continuous reporting and provide suitable rational where necessary to internal and external stakeholders and ensure that business and marketing objectives are being met

What will you need?

• Previous social media experience working within a large brand or creative agency is essential
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite including After Effects and Photoshop
• Ability to work well under pressure and to strict deadlines
• Confident working with flat images and animation
• Ability to work effectively independently or in a team
• Positive and proactive approach to work
• Copywriting experience is desirable
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
